Question / Help QuickSync greyed out, unsupported processor?

I'm being limited by streaming certain apps that are very CPU heavy, thus lowering my overall FPS. I have read how QuickSync can fix these problems, but it seems it is only supported by certain CPUs?

I have a Lynnfield Core i7 processor, about 3-4 years old. QuickSync is greyed out for me.

Any ideas, or is this something that I just won't be able to do with my hardware?

If so, any other alternate ideas for reducing the amount of FPS drain I am getting?

QuickSync is only supported on processors that are Sandy Bridge era or newer. Yours is older than that.
