I'm looking for a way to easily toogle desktop audio volume, for when I'm speaking or muted/have no mic. Gave it a go with filters, but no result.

Also, is there any way to add a text box like in the advanced settings, or snap points to the slider?

Add a compressor filter to your desktop audio source. Select your microphone as the sidechain. Now the desktop audio will drop down when you speak.

Don't understand what you exactly want to accomplish with toggling the volume, but you might have a look at Settings->Audio and activate push-to-mute for the sound source you mean. This way you activate a feature that while you press and hold some hotkey down, the corresponding source is muted. It can be used for example for muting your mic while you cough. In this dialog you activate the feature, and he actual hotkey is set in Settings->Hotkeys.

If you just want to avoid that the regular audio drowns your voice, do something different. Open the Filters section of your Desktop Audio source in OBS and add a "Compressor" Filter. In the options of that filter, at Sidechain/Ducking Source add the source of your Mic. This way, the filter's efficiency is controlled by your mic. With the Ratio and "Output Gain" settings you can regulate how much Desktop Audio is reduced.

I saw this tip while searching but without instructions, thanks for that.

After toying with the settings I could get it to lower the desktop audio when I speak, but still looks like i'm fighting the sound. I like it to stay fixed, but if I mute/disable the mic the volume automatically increases (10dB in this case). No big deal, but sometimes i forget and half of my stream is low until I remember.

Put a noise gate on your mic.

If running a sidechain on your desktop audio against your mic is causing desktop audio to increase 10db when you mute your mic, it means OBS thinks your mic is open all the time, and your settings on the compressor are reducing desktop volume by that much.

Adjust the ratio on the compressor filter so that desktop audio is not attenuated by as much, and/or add a noise gate filter to your microphone source so that the mic is only open when you're speaking and is not being triggered by room tone.

Download Websockets Server plugin and install in OBS, next download in your phone OBS Blade. You will be able to control desktop audio levels or other, switch scenes, etc from your cell. (All is for free).
