Question / Help Quick sync laptop help!

I'm running into a lot of issues streaming :/ I have a decent spec'd machine but it is a gaming laptop not desktop.
it has an intel i7 6700hq
gtx 960m 4gb gddr5
and 8 gb ram. (Dell inspiron 7559)

I have people tell me all the time that it should be able to stream at 720p 60fps, especially since im streaming console with an avermedia lgp, but with almost every encoder I use I get some sort of lag??? with nvidia nvenc its really bad quality regardless of what preset I use unless I use high quality, but then I get lag and eventually the audio gets desynced overtime. x264 gets bad frame drops, and quick sync (my preferred encoder) gets this lag here (https://youtu.be/gOZKBBN7w8g) my intel i3 4150 desktop was able to handle quick sync no problem? I know that bigger numbers doesn't mean better performance in all cases but I feel like i'm missing something... Would it help to allocate more ram to the integrated graphics?

Your OBS log file has missing parts or you didn't actually encode at all. Do a five minute or longer encode using the best settings you've been able to determine yourself, and then post the OBS log file from that.

I have the same problem. I can't encode using QSync on a laptop. After studying the issue, I found out that the load on the iGPU is almost at all time at 100% when I have video playing from youtube or so.
Meaning, that OBS is using the iGPU even when I selected it to be used with the discrete graphics on nVidia's control panel. The conclusion for me is that OBS is using the iGPU no matter the case, overloading it, resulting in no power for the iGPU to encode whatever we want. I have a 4k panel which seems to make it harder
