I'm wondering if capturing with the Avermedia Live Gamer HD on my 1080p monitor will achieve better quality than using game capture with my 1440p monitor? Maybe it doesn't matter either way?

I stream in 720p, 60 FPS with the medium or fast preset depending on the game and a 3000 bitrate.

I guess I could test it out myself, but I was wondering if any of you guys had some insight. Thank you.

It should be close when it comes to quality. I know that the live gamer hd has some gamma or saturation issues where it makes the scene slightly washed out, and because OBS has no controls to counteract this I think that software capture/game capture is to be preferred.
