So, I enjoy adding rhythmic .gifs during my open DJing hour just for some entertainment while we chat etc. My question is, why do .gifs take up so much upload speed? Or is it just looped .gifs that are really huge on it?
I'm pretty sure that only depends on how much is changing in the gif. More color changes and pixels that change means more info has to be sent to update the screen image meaning more upload is required. Less things updating less upload. At least this is my basic understanding of it. I don't think it's a gif specifically requiring a lot just that your more things are now updating.
