Question / Help Questions from an AMD Gaming Evolved user

Hi OBS forum, I am recording/streaming my Team Fortress 2 gameplay.

I've been using AMD Gaming Evolved to record/stream my contents, but OBS looks good as well.
I'd like you to help me know about OBS so that I can compare it with Evolved and think about switching.

I like Gaming Evolved for these reasons:
  • No performance overhead when recording, as developed by AMD themselves.
  • Replay Buffer is supported. My contents rely on this feature.
  • Session Recording is supported. It automatically records the whole gameplay, so that I can look for footage that I missed to record afterwards.
  • In-game shortcut key and status display. I push one key to start/stop recording/streaming or save the last minute of footage. The recording/streaming status is displayed on the top left of the screen in game.
However, I came to dislike following things of Gaming Evolved:
  • Constant frame rate (CFR) is not supported, because they assume all the recorded videos to be directly uploaded to Plays.tv (which is no use to me.) I've needed to synchronize long clips' audio in Premiere.
  • Can't record and stream simultaneously. I need the replay buffer function when streaming, because I don't prefer making streaming-highlight videos out of low-res clips.
  • No support for YouTube Gaming. YouTube Gaming has much higher resolution compared to Twitch and I'm hoping to switch to it, but Gaming Evolved only supports Twitch at the moment. Using XSplit disables Gaming Evolve's recording function.
So, now I'm looking to get all these disadvantages off without losing any favorite features in Gaming Evolved.
This is a list of features that I would love OBS to provide:
  • Support for Constant frame rate (CFR). This would make my video editing much easier.
  • Support for Replay Buffer. I'm relying on this feature in Gaming Evolved.
  • Support for Session Recording. I want it to record everything with enabling the other recording features.
  • Support for YouTube Gaming. YouTube Gaming has much higher resolution than Twitch.
  • In-game shortcut key and status display. I want to be able to push one button for recording and view the status.
  • Recording with streaming. I'd love to be able to record and stream simultaneously.
  • Small performance overhead when recording, although my computer should be fine.
Does OBS satisfy all these requirements? Which one is missing? I'd appreciate your side notes as well.

Thank you for your help.

Most if not all of what you want is already implemented. Nothing's stopping you from trying it.
