Question / Help Question regarding recording

Hello to all :)

I read thru the first 10 pages and couldn't find if the question was already asked. Long story short, everything is fine when I stream. My only question is : Can I record during my stream only the raw footage of my gameplay? The thing is at the moment, OBS records also the overlays and the music playing that people are requesting thru my twitch channel and I don't want that.

I use the Elgato Game Capture with OBS. I tried to open the Elgato software on the side to record my gameplay only but it says that the device is already in use (by OBS). Is there an option within OBS that can make you select which ''window'' you can record separately?

Thank you!

For PC content you can use a program like Dxtory and have that both save a high quality local recording and output a DirectShow source for OBS to use, and AVerMedia users can utilize the Stream Engine software to do something similar. I'm not aware of a similar setup that would be possible with the Elgato and the software they provide unless you wanted to do something gross like try to capture the Elgato video window in OBS.
