Question / Help Question regarding output format

Hello,

Just got OBS a bit ago, and already tested and got my first video out. The format it came out after recording was .flv. From what I heard, .flv files don't work too well and make the video quality worse on Youtube.

Is this correct? or is .flv just fine?

If it does make the quality worse, how can I change the format from .flv to .mov?

Also, I noticed my video using OBS comes out laggy (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0au5OooQmo). In game, it was not laggy. What could be the issue here?

To add, when you view the video, you'll see that the bottom portion of the video such as my hotbar, were cut off. I'm not sure why that is, the resolution in OBS is the exact same as my laptop resolution.

Edit: Apparently, this is dependent on the game? I recorded and uploaded another video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LP4CQb31ut8

The game should be full screen, it shouldn't look like a small, windowed mode. How can this be fixed?
