Question / Help Question about Sources

Hello my fellow Streamers!

I ran into several problems in the past based on OBS performance (using latest obs studio version). My PC specs are written down in my signature. I got the feeling that my OBS is too overloaded. My concept is:
- One Scene has every source included which I will use on other scenes (I called it Global and every source in it has the phrase Global_ written in front). For example global_cam, global_eventlist, global_pictures, global_donatoin goal etc
- for every game I created a scene with a game capture for the game
- so when filling the scene of the game I took the global_source from the global scene

I did it this way so I only have to add the source once and use it on the scene i wanted to.

What do you think? Is this an acceptable way to deal with sources? Or is it better to include the source for every scene itself? Maybe you have other good ideas how to handle multiple scenes?

I have ~15 scenes now. As I said, one "global" scene und the others are all different games.

Would be great to hear from you guys how you all set your obs up.

Kind Regards
Maggi

Sources itself are global already for the most part and some include checkboxes to turn them off if not visible, thats what the add existing menu is for when adding a source.
You are probably having a metric fuckton of sources active that you arent even using in the currently active scene.

Hello XeiZ,

so you are going to tell me that I should activate the option to disable the source when not visible?
Or to reduce the number of scenes?

What is the general recommendation?
