Question about resizing display capture

Hi!
I had a questio about when you resize the display capture and record something.
If you do alt + dragging, as it resizes the capture, does it resize resolution?
I'm not sure how to exactly explain this, but, after resizing, does it continue to record in my case 1600x900?
Because if I record my entire screen playing something, and resize it, I believe it would get worse quality. I'm not a technician or expert so...

Resizing the element on the canvas does not change the actual resolution of the element -- unless you're applying an actual filter for the resize, it will maintain the exact pixel resolution of the source.
