Question / Help Question About Processors & CPU Presets

I currently have a Intel i7 4770 and I'm gonna be in the market for a new processor within the next few months or so. I wanted to know if anyone had any input on solid processors that would allow me to set my x264 CPU Preset slower so I can process more of the game capture before I release it to my internet for uploading. Some suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I know currently I'm able to run on fast just fine. I'm trying medium as we speak and in the past it was spotty but ever since I updated to Windows 10, it seems to be running better at that setting. I'm a perfectionist at heart and always have been so I'm always looking to improve quality and if I can do this without having to crank up my encoding, it'll be beneficial to my viewers. Thank you in advance for your time.

The quality increase from CPU presets is minimal, and in return using much, much more CPU. I tend to stream on Normal myself. You'd probably need to dip into the latest 5xxx intel CPU's, to be able to set your CPU to that. Or even move to a 2 PC set up.

The slower the preset sounds, the more quality you can squeeze into your bitrate.
There's only so much you can gain once you get past the "fast" preset though. Diminishing returns really start there.

I appreciate the response. I was looking at maybe getting the Intel Core i7-5930K down the road. It's a little pricey but the processor would last for years so I'm not too worried. You mentioned a dual PC setup. I have seen that done by the likes of GoldGlove on Twitch. I primarily game on console so I don't feel like that would be to beneficial at the moment unless I dive into PC gaming which I will eventually. My PC currently is only used for streaming so it has full reign on the processing power.

If you stream Console stuff, then I see no benefit in selling it to upgrade to the CPU you suggested. From normal, to Slower the quality upgrade is microscopic.
