Question / Help Question about internet speed

Hey :)

I have a question... They told me enter this site to see if I could stream, or not, with my current internet... http://obsproject.com/estimator

The problem is that I do not quite understand the difference in MB, Mb, Mbps, Kbps, etc...

I have a 35mb internet... The download rate is approximately 4,5mb/s... And the upload rate 450-650kb/s...

When I do the test at http://www.speedtest.net this is the result:

Download: 35.68Mb/s
Upload: 4.35Mb/s

And on the Estimator website ( http://obsproject.com/estimator ) is asked the rate in kbps...

At first, I tried to put a number between 450-650 (That is my upload rate per second)... And the result was:

"Due to your low upload speed, aim for a low resolution such as 480p"

Then I look at the google how convert 4.35Mb/s in Kb/s... And the result was approximately 4450... And the result on the Estimator website was:

"Your upload speed is sufficient for 720p / 1080p"

~~~~~~~~~
Well... I do not know now if I can stream only in low quality or in HD quality...
Anybody can help me? :/
~~~~~~~~

PS: Sorry for my english... Im Brazillian...

If speed test says you have that much, then you should be able to use around that much. Just try it out in OBS, if you enter in a value that's too high, it won't hurt anything, it'll just drop frames, it's harmless. Choose a server that gives you the fastest connection you can find, and then lower the bitrate until frames no longer drop. (and maybe a bit more to make room for a multiplayer game)

If you have that much bandwidth available, I would try using 2500/2500 for bitrate/buffersize, downscale to 720p, and use 30fps and try it out. If it's more bandwidth than you can handle, then you may have to lower the settings until you stop dropping frames.
