So recently I started doing casual stream as a warmup before I start doing scheduled streams of Dark Souls 2.
I do not have a capture card yet so I've been doing PC games stream.
Here's my problem, OBS is set to stream at 30 fps. But when I look at my stream (either while I am streaming or the VOD) it looks fine like no pixelation or frame drops, however it does seem somewhat slow. What I mean by slow is that I'm supposed to be streaming at 30 and it really doesn't look like 30.
I say this because if I go play say, any game on my PS3 or Arma 2 on a crappy server at 30fps, it looks so much more fluid. Why is there such a big difference in fluidity between 30fps on my stream and 30fps on my console.
From what I could tell the only way for me to match the fluidity 30fps on my console gives me is by streaming at 45-50 which is not really an option as I have to sacrifice quite a bit of quality to stream at that framerate.
I might be completely wrong but to me, if I look at the VOD of my stream and then I go look at the screen of my console. My console is just a lot smoother.
