So, if I have 1080p 30FPS set as my recording settings, and put a downscale to say 720p, what exactly does that do? I mean, is it still 1080p technically just not as good? What's downscale do (or doesn't do) that just switching from 1080p to 720 as base settings do?
I only ask because when trying to record with my El Gato HD, I get 100% CPU usage, causing high encoding errors.
