This feels like it's probably a common question, but I didn't see in the FAQ.
I'm trying to set things up to record games on OBS. I've got everything set up how I want it, except for one problem. The audio for the things that I'm recording does not play through OBS. It records just fine, but I can't hear anything while the recording is happening. I can understand why it would be set up this way, but for my particular set up it doesn't really work. I need to be able to hear the game content while I'm recording, and plugging headphones directly into my game consoles isn't really workable with how I've got things set up. I've done some recording with Xsplit, which plays the capture card audio through my PC's default audio device, so that I could just plug my headphones into my computer. Is there a way to do this with OBS? I'd really love to stop paying the stupid subscription fee for Xsplit, but if I can't get OBS to play audio while it's recording then I don't really have a choice.
