Question / Help Quality settings not applied until restart?

Hi!

Today I've noticed that stuff that's really green on my screen record in a less saturated color.

I tried messing around with all stream/recording quality and advanced/color settings to no avail.

The colors still look a bit desaturated and blurry.

Am I missing something or some controls don't do what I thought they do? Or maybe they are updated only once I restart OBS?

Here's a sample for comparison:

I tried bumping the bitrate up to 24000 (from 3000) but that didn't do anything. Even lossless quality didn't help.

This is most likely an artifact of chroma subsampling. You'll need to record in a lossless YUV444 or RGB format to preserve precise color detail.

I've tested it now and even RGB on lossless setting doesn't produce the same saturation of colors. (While the files are huge).
