Question / Help Quality help with local recording

Hello,
I am trying to record my gameplay on World of Warcraft, but I cannot seem to find the perfect settings for recording in at least 720p. Whenever I record a video, the quality of video once I have finished recording is terrible. I am playing in 1920x1080 and I am downscaling to 1280x720.
The hardware I am using is

CPU: Intel i5 3210m
GPU: Geforce GT 630m
8GB of RAM
Windows 8.1

I have both World of Warcraft and OBS running off of the 630. I would just like to know what I can do that can help improve the quality of the records.

Thanks. :)

Generally yes, but the wide range of options that OBS has is what makes people prefer it over others. Which is usually why a lot of people would say it is better.

i use obs for local recordings and followed the guide, works great. i have a few small tweaks but the guide should get u to high quality. post ur log

I've fixed the problem now, it was because I changed to using Quick Sync, but I still left it at 1000 Max Bitrate. Bumping it up to 5000 improved the quality a lot.
