Hi boys!

i have some problems when i stream QW fps. I think i uploaded my log also.

Computer spec:

I7 4790K @ 4.0ghz
16gb ddr3 1600mhz mem
geforce 970gtx 4gb

Fiber connection with 100/100mb

When im not streaming the game is very smooth without any lag at all. fps ingame is 770. when streaming its between 600-770 and the screen is tearing alot compared to none stream.

my cpu temp is good, not over 65C when playing and streaming.

my computer should be good enough to stream and play without any fps lag? or is my settings messed up?

thank you in advance!

Cap your FPS at something lower so your system isn't already bottlenecked when you run OBS.

now i run 45fps in stream.. but i want to run it at 60fps in the stream.. what do i need to to if i want to have 60fps sream and no fpslag in game?

my goal is to be able to stream without any lag ingame while playing.. maybe my computer is to weak.. what other options do i have?

I mean cap your FPS in QuakeWorld. You're letting it run without any sort of limit so your PC renders as many frames as it's capable of. That doesn't work well with OBS.

but i use 770 as max-fps. and ive tried lowering it to under 500.. screen is still tearing (fpslagg)

Im starting to belive that its because i record everything on twitch.. can that be the reason why i have bad lag?

my friend who has a worse computer than i have have no problems.. hmm?! :)

No one else who has any suggestions what my problem could be?

another thing i have noticed is that when i stream, and i typ things in my webbrowers, the letters lag behind abit.. like the whole computer is slowed... that cant be right?

im starting to believe i have some cpu faults?

i think i have fixed the problem. When i was streaming I had the twitch.tv window open with the chat and the video, and the stream lagged when i had it up, but when i only had the chatwindow up and not the video, the fps got more stable and good.

Yeah, use a popout chat. most of the time that is the issue.
