Question / Help Push to talk not working

Hello everyone, this is my first post on the forums.

Anyways, I'm fairly new to OBS, but I've watched a lot of videos and read guides on how to set it all up. I only use OBS for recording gameplay. My issue is that even with PTT enabled, and the keys are set. However, my microphone is recorded even when I'm not pressing the PTT key. I run OBS as an admin, and I set the hotkeys as an admin as well, so I don't understand why my mic is still being recorded when I'm not pressing the PTT hotkey. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
I have encounerd that same issue not to long ago by accident.
in my case it was that the build in mic of my webcam was turned on accidently.
Perhaps this could be also your issue.

If not: please post a logfile
 
One of my USB mics records audio (although very quietly) even though it's turned off (but still connected ofc.). So could as well be a problem with mic design, drivers, settings.
