Bug Report Push to talk - not working

Well im new to OBS, i tried to set the Push to talk setting, but its not working, the mic is allways off - without its on and working. any help ? tryed everything i know

What hotkey did you set for it?

do other hotkeys work? I have heard some rare reports that hotkeys are not working for some people with certain apps.

well i wanted to use Strg but only it i couldn´t bind so i used strg + . tryed also on the germen layout ü but both didn´t work.

what I meant was do other settings that have hotkeys availabe work, such as hotkeys for switching scenes, or hotkeys for muting, or turning the stream on/off?

yes the mute on works fine

OK found out, the buttons are working but only i i have the obs window aktiv, which is kinda useless -.-

hm, some people have reported this -- I'll have to try to find a solution to fix it. I'm not sure if this is something done by anti-virus apps, not running in administrative mode, or what.. not sure what causes it, because it just does not happen at all on my system. hotkeys have never failed to work for me.. it could be one of those things.

i will test a bit more around , also a wish plz make it work that we can use only Strg or Alt, now can´t only use them alone

update : runing obs with admin seems to fix it :) sadly there is a little sound by pressing and let got the ptt button. (not a klick more like you mute and unmute your mic with a hardware switch) <- got that fixed with your obtion to force mic to mono
