Bug Report Purple/Pink Pixelation

In one of my recent videos I discovered a real nasty issue with the recording output from OBS. Instead of trying to explain what it looks like, have a look at this:

Interestingly enough, it only happens for the first 5~ seconds of a segmented clip of the recorded file from OBS when playing it. So for example, if I record a 5 minute video, and watch it beginning at 0:00:00, it will pixelate for about 5~ seconds. Lets say I close the file and open it back up and start at 0:03:35. For the next 5~ seconds it will pixelate.

This happens in ANY program I use to view and render the recorded file. (i.e Windows Media Player, VLC, Media Player Classic, even the Sony Vegas preview window)

I'm not even sure if that's how this issue works. Upon zooming into the timeline, and viewing the frames, it looks horribly pixelated on a majority, and just gets amplified when playing recently.

I have a monster rig so I'm not sure if its a lack of RAM / GPU / CPU.

In OBS encoder settings, Key frame interval might be too high, but not too sure without log showing encode settings.

That log file didn't show any recording information like if it wasn't recorded only previewing. Show us OBS log file that has recordings shown.

Here is a log file with what I think is what you are looking for. However this is much more recent. I believe the issue still persists, but I stopped using OBS for a while.

Log shows OBS 0.14.2... OBS-Studio now have 0.16.5 available to download, try downloading a more recent version to check if this fixes your problem when using intel QuickSync encoder.

Or you can switch to x264 encoder.

It seems to have fixed with the update. It's unfortunate I have so much content recorded with bug, but I'll figure something out.

Okay, the issue still persists and here's another log file.
I'll have a video that better displays the issue up shortly.

That log file is still from 0.14.2.

Does the original video that OBS outputs have the problem, or is it limited to the video you get after editing or after uploading to Youtube? The video you linked looks like it may have been cut on something other than a keyframe in the beginning.

Hopefully this might shed some light on what's going on. At your request I can hand over an original output file. Hope I did not ramble on for too long!

I've just updated the client to 0.16 I'll give recording another go. I should have something together for tomorrow.
