PTZ Optics Controller Plugin - other PTZ camera's?

Hi all,

I would like to use the PTZOptics plugin with another brands camera: Dahua, partnumber: DH-SD49425XB-HNR
It does not seem to connect to the camera, I assume it is because I cannot enter the username & password anywhere.

Anyone any idea if this is even possible at all?

Or Is it possible with the dockable browser functionality of PTZOptics?

Multiple issues - first and foremost is protocol support. ie is it VISCA or IP, or something else? (not just username/pwd)
And it is unreasonable to ask PTZoptics to test/troubleshoot their plug-in for use with other mfg devices (that's on the other mfg or you, a user to do)
So first you need to figure out EXACTLY what controls your PTZ camera supports. Does you camera mfg have an interface guide/manual ? What a number of people have done (or doing) is working with HTTP commands to call actions/presets on the camera. There are a number of tools/scripts/plug-ins related to this. But many cameras implement own protocol or command structure for this...so ymmv, and you'll have to see if someone already did this for Dahua, or if you have to edit something else open-source for this camera. And security cameras have different usage scenarios than broadcast filming, (especially frame rates, and PTZ movement smoothness) so best if you set set your expectations accordingly
