Hi everyone !

with the help of the OBS forum i can now use OBS studio well and know what i am doing so i want to push the streaming experience more far and i have some issue.

I want to stream PS3, so i have read tutorial on the internet and found that the PS3 have a HDCP protection, but there is solution to still streaming games with a capture card.
And before buy the item i prefer to be sure.

If i understand well, i need a "Splitters" (i don't know if link on amazone are legit there so i don't do any link) and found some who are often recommended for this.

But, on the other hand, (and maybe because i have a bad english) i think understand that i can, with a capture card with Component In, use an HDMI cable to Component, plug it in the "in" of the capture card, and that it !?

Anybody can tell me if that really true ? maybe some there use such a setup ?

I know both don't cost so mush but the capture card isn't really cheap and i doesn't want to wast my money ^^'

An other question, how can i put the audio of the PS3 in my headphone, the same on my computer ? plug a jack from the Capture card in the "in" on the back of the mother board ?
If there isn't "out" audio on the capture card but a component "in", can i keep the audio parts of the PS3 HDMI -> Component Cable and plug them in a jack converter, then in the back of the PC again ?

Thanks a lot for you help.

nobody can help me ?
I know this is a old post but I'll help just incase. I use a REI HDMI Splitter 1x2 HD-102 (Picture Below) The PS3 plugs into HDMI Input and the Capture Card plugs into the HDMI Output. You can also plug a second HDMI into the second HDMI Output of the Splitter or into the Capture Card. I usually use it on a second TV because there tends to be a delay between the gaming and the recording footage which can screw up gameplay. As for the headphones. I'm not sure because I don't really use them. But you could try using headphones in your TV the game audio is coming through. Just make sure its the same audio that is registering in your OBS so you know the audio is capturing. It took me over a year to learn OBS and I'm still learning. Anymore help I can give hit me up and Happy Streaming Friend!
