Properties for Video Capture Device (Not Responding)

Why would my camera that has been working great in OBS for two months suddenly receive an error message saying, "Properties for Video Capture Device (Not Responding)? So, I have no Capture Device I can use. I tried my other camera's and received the same error message. Could a setting some where's have been inadvertently changed?

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated...

I still cannot connect a camera to my OBS Scene. It worked great for about a month, then just stopped working. How can I get the Properties to start responding to my Video Capture Device?

Do you have installed the drivers of the camera and related progrmas form the vendor?
Try reinstalling it. Some times Windows overreact (normally on updates) and modify the driver to it's own default and things stop working as intended.

I updated the drivers. When I turned on Scene 1 I was able to get the Integrated Camera to work. I checked the box to deactivate the camera when not in use. But when I go to create another scene, it goes right back to the Properties do not respond to my Video Capture device. So could it be something with creating another scene?

You need to use the same source for the camera. When you add a new video capture source it should be listed.

Most times is due to limitations on the camera driver itsef.

Any updates on this problem?
My temporary fix is by disabling the NVIDIA when setting the video capture and then enabling the NVIDIA driver again.
The properties still can be open and see for the session.

After the first time restarting OBS (driver enabled), the input is still there, but it will not show properties windows and make OBS not respond. I think it should be ok as long as we do not change anything for the video capture settings.

However, it will not work for second restart, it will show black screen for the capture.

Using similar setup, shotcut dont have this problem, so I wonder if the problems is really come from nvidia driver or OBS behavior.
