Question / Help Process Priority Class

I know I should probably know this by now, having been using OBS for more than 2 months now, but I am still unclear as to how this feature benefits me.

I've done tests for all the settings: Normal, Above Norm., and High. I can't seem to find any difference. Could this feature benefit my viewers and overall performance of my stream by setting it to Above Norm. or High?

Or it doesn't even affect anything, or just barely, and I could set it to Normal for eternity, and forget about it all together and never speak of it again?

it is in advanced for a reason, set it to normal and forget that option even exsists.

Did you know that even the most computer illiterate person can LEARN and KNOW what these advanced settings are? Simply by either research/reading, or asking the right questions to the right people? *ahem*

To answer your question though, I'd say you'd notice a difference if you have other processes competing with OBS for cpu. If not, then there will be little to no difference.

Makes sense. Thank you for your educated reponses... :D

Unfortunately the priority setting is a forgotten setting and is not actually used at all by OBS. Currently the only way to change the priority is to use the Windows Task Manager. The setting should really be removed from the UI until it is implemented.
