Hey yall,
i just bought the Ryzen 3900x after they released it because i wanted to stream in a good quality.

So i actually have only one PC to stream and play with. My problem is that the Stream isnt sharp as i want it.

My CPU/GPU/RAM:

Ryzen 9 3900x
Trident Z Royal Gold - 32 GB 3600Mhz
NVIDIA Geforce® GTX 1070 8GB

So yeah i should upgrade my GPU but ill stream over x264 and not NVENC. (And ill upgrade my GPU soon)
But shouldnt i still have a nice looking stream? I mainly stream Apex Legends and theres kinda an unsharpness and u can see some pixel.
And i compared my OBS Settings with other People and they had a flawless looking stream and also stream and play with one PC.
SO i clearly miss something here but i dont get what it could be because i tried a LOT of settings.

if u need more information just ask !

Thanks for you answers!

Kind regard,
exuQ

Aside from changing downscale filter to Lanczos and maybe adding a deblock command, I can't find anything that may cause the issue described.

Unrelated to your problem, change YUV colour range back to "Partial" and only add 1 capture source per scene collection, as any extra leads to a small performance hit or other issues.

Do you have a link to a streaming session with the issue that led you to post here?

Also, which streams are you trying to compare yours against, as I have yet to find a single one that didn't have compression artifacts due to the fact Apex legends is not a very encoding-friendly game.

So should i try to change Lanczos to Bicubic and delete the other sources?
and what is the different between YUV Partial and Full?
I actually just compared with another small streamer which had a flawless fluid stream and he has a i7 - 8700k and a GTX 1080.
but i clearly saw the difference. his stream was kinda nicer from the quality.

and heres a link from my stream u can skip through some parts and yeah

thanks for ur fast answers.

Lanczos will sharpen the image a bit more, though it can be too sharp sometimes.

YUV Partial is more compatible with streaming services and media players while also saving around ~15% bitrate, which should improve your image quality slightly. Another thing you can try is disabling any ingame motion blur settings.

Your image quality is excellent and what one should expect from your settings and the game played, even better that most top streamers. What I think might be causing this perception of their stream being better is the fact a lot of them use 900p output resolution which increases image clarity on smaller elements, such as text and up to 8k bitrate, though image quality on fast motion movement suffers. As an example, was watching DrDisrespect stream and was baffled over why people consider his stream to be a standard for good quality.

It's very common for streamers, particularly new ones, to look at other streams and downplay the quality of their own.
