I want to report something that could be a bug in the new version of OBS Studio. I have three cameras connected to my computer. One of these is an old camera of lousy quality which is rarely used when I stream. In addition, I also have two more newer cameras that I need to use every time I stream. There is no problem setting up the old camera through scenes and sources. The identical new cameras are a different matter.
it doesn't seem to be possible to create two different scenes wtih both of these two cameras seperately. Only one of them. Both of them appear in properties with the same name. However, when I try to set them up individually in different scenes I cannot find a way to make it work anymore. One of the cameras only shows a totally black screen or the different scenes shows the same camera. I try to change properties for one of the cameras, but it updates the scene with the other camera as well. So that both scenes change to the same camera. This problem does not accur with the old camera. There is no problem to place this in an individual sceene, but this camera has a different name. So this could be the problem. It seems like OBS Studio believe the two indentical cameras are the same since they have exactly the same name in properties. I have tried to find a way to change the name of one the cameras in order to seperate them, but without any luck.
Can anyone help me? I need both of my new cameras when I stream. To use a 15 year old camera or having to buy a new camera is something I want to avoid.
