i just partition my hd and installed windows 7 64 it, for main purpose to stream from it. (fresh install. list of all software that's been installed 1.all windows updates, 2.chrome, 3.directx 9, 4.easeus partition master 9.2.2, 5.KMPlayer, 6.revo uninstaller, 7.OBS. that's it nothing els ). so i started obs changed settings to

Encoding:
Quality Balance – 9/10
Max Bitrate (kb/s) – 3000 (i have Comcast 10 up 50 down. lol more like 6 down 38 up according to http://testmy.net/)
Audio Encoding: default
Broadcast Settings: default
Video:
Base Resolution - 1037 x 788 (i need this to be in this rang +, - 10 Pix)
Resolution Downscale - 1037 x 788
FPS – 30 FPS
Audio: default
Advanced: default (except these ↓ )
Use Multithreaded Optimizations - High
x264 cpu Preset - veryfast

OK when i Adding a Screen Region i use this ↓ but my position and size is different
OBSScreenCaptureMonitor.png

my is
Position 0, 0,
size 1037, 788,

so now that we now how i have it set up. lets look in to the problem. every time i try to cast my idle FPS is 20-25 (no mater on what x264 cpu Preset i use or how high i set FPS)
and when play a video or play BOI my FPS drops to 7-10

i have
CPU X6800 @2.93 OR overclocked to 3.5
RAM 4 GB
NVIDIA 8600GT (latest Drivers )
OS 64-bit

if i did't know any better i would say that my system is to week but like i sad this is a second partition on this HD. my firs one has same copy of windows but with bunch of other !@#$%^& installed and OBS on this one works just fine 30+ fps on Fast : x264 cpu Preset setting. Why it's being stupid on this one is beyond me.

i also trade reinstalling OBS, use test build, and deleting Config Folder (so it resets completely ) no luck.

Disable Aero if you absolutely must use Monitor Capture on windows 7. Make sure "Disable Aero at startup" is checked in settings>video

But really, avoid Monitor Capture at all costs on Windows 7.

That looks like a very old version of OBS, you should also update.

no this is the newest version the screen shot is no of my system and like i sad i'v used test build. Both of OSs have there performance setting set to Performance so all Aero nonsense is disabled by default .i also tried using aVHscrCap as alternative to build in one and it did not helped one bit.

also it stays the same even if you tell it to capture the hole window. and Thank you fore fast replays

Re: Problem withe OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) FPS settin

Really, the Monitor Capture is likely *the* cause. It's the worst of all the capture methods, and should not be used if at all possible, because it delivers HORRIBLE performance and can even lag your game.

Delete it and switch to Game Capture, or Window Capture with aero ON if at all possible (not just 'capture whole window', DELETE the Monitor Capture and add a Window Capture instead). Otherwise, may just have to deal with the poor framerate.

Re: Problem withe OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) FPS settin

god damn it iv tried all that all ready. and thank you for tying. im going to install ffdshow and customize the hall out of it like i did on the other partition. i'm not shore if this should effected in any way? if some one can confer it, I dont feel like wasting to much time on this. it a lot of work now that i think about it.

i just remembered that i probably have an older version of OBS on the working partition. i'm going to try to get the same version and let you know if this works

Your GPU is a gigantic bottleneck here, and pretty much nothing you do is going to be able to get around that.

no but its working fine on the other partition. this is why in tying so hard , it doesn't make any sense. and i can't cast from the other one because it has antivirus and other heavy cpu programs.
