Question / Help Problem with opening file // computer crashed

hey guys, so I was recording some game footage and my computer crashed, now it shows me the file I recorded with the ecxact time when it was recorded and the size of it but I can't open it.. Any Ideas how to fix it ?

If you recorded to MP4 the file is corrupt. Use FLV to avoid this.

Yep, it's just digital trash now. Sorry.
There are tools to 'repair' MP4s, but most of them are for-pay, and none of them work right with the video files that OBS outputs (I paid for one when I had a crash and really wanted the video back, only got segments with video, and badly warped audio). I'd advise against wasting time (and money) with these, like I did.

Definitely switch to FLV for standard recording. If you need MP4, transmux the video over afterward. It's really quick and easy to do.
