Hi, I am new to OBS and I record gameplay, I don't speak English very well so if you don't understand something i try to explain it better.
Now i am recording a first person shooter (shadow warrior to be accurate).
After I have recorded my video, I have noticed that every time there is an explosion (or a lot of fire) the video suffered a fall of fps. The strange fact is that during the gameplay I don't notice anything because the game move smooth and whitout interruption.
What can I do?
The features of my PC are:
- 8gb RAM
- Intel I7-3770 3.40GHz 64bit
- Video Card Nvidia GTX 650 (I use NVENC for my records)
- Desktop 1920x1080
My settings of OBS are:
- Bitrate = 60000
- Encoder = hardware NVENC
- Encoder preset = High Performance
- Recording format = flv
- Base resolution = 1920x1080
- Output scaled resolution = 1280x720
- Downscale filter = Bilinear
- FPS = 30
- Process priority = High
(All the other features I haven't mentioned are setted as default)
I must point out that except for the explosions the video with these settings go smooth and good.
If you need other information, tell me.
