Hey all,

just noticed that when I listen to music, the volume goes up and down all the time but it stays constant in the settings and also when I start speaking, the music becomes really quiet and goes back up when I stop. The quality of the audio isn't that good either. Any suggestions?

Can you record(upload to youtube unlisted or stream it on twitch enabled past broadcast) a short monitor capture showing this(showing onscreen OBS and you play some music + mic) to see how it reacts. Just so we can get a visual representation of what you are experiencing/seeing.

Just uploaded a video of that on youtube and it sounds normal. Could the reason of my problem be the player I use to watch the recorded videos (KMPlayer)?

Edit: VLC doesn't do that weird thing. I guess it's happening because of the KMPlayer.
Yeah it seems to sound all fine, so you are all good with using OBS in your current setup

I guess just so you don't experience it on your self(your own side) make sure your audio speaker(Sounds > Playback > Properties) has disabled any Audio Enhancements. Also if you are using a TV as monitor through HDMI and using its speakers to hear as well disable in its TV Menu on audio, Volume Leveling or anything similar to that normalizes the audio. Both of these do cause what you said of when you speak everything else lowers then you stop speaking all background audio goes back up... it just happens on your side, viewers who will get this they probably have the same thing on their setup - if they don't have that then it should sound for them just fine like you have seen through Youtube.
