I've got a problem syncing audio using an Elgato capture card. I use Astro A40 TR with the Mixamp to stream audio from my PC and PS4 into the mixamp, then use the auxiliary out port on the back of the mixamp (Stream port it is called) into the Mic In* on the back of my PC. Every post or video I've seen has said offset the audio in settings->advanced by 1500ms, however this does not fix the issue. I have tried what I think is every single offset option available to me but I have the same issue with zero change. Anyone have an idea? Some settings that I've tried are as follows:
Settings/Advanced/Audio - Global Audio Sync Offset 1,500ms (with and without Force desktop audio to use video timestamps)
Scene/Sources/Elgato/Properties - Audio sync offset 1,500ms
- Video buffering 1500ms (not sure if this could work but tried anyway)
Scenes/Sources/DirectShow Audio Source* - Offset 1500ms**
**This setting is where all my audio runs through, it is in effect another global source but physically, not through OBS
I suspect that because all my audio is running through the mixamp, that it needs to be split in order for offsets to work, and I know that this kind of set up is possible to have working as I know someone who uses it and their stream is perfect.
I really feel I have exhausted all options, been agonising over this for a saddening amount of time. Any suggestions appreciated :)
Bare in mind that where I've said 1500ms is just symbolic, I've used upwards of 10kms and negative ms to see if it made any difference at all. Nothing has
