The previous version was pretty much straight forward, but the current version, OH MY GOD!!.....Look, I know my way around computers, have built many and installed programs and trouble-shot a few problems, that said, WHAT do I need to add to DISPLAY CAPTURE to capture the screen AND IT'S AUDIO, PLUS I need to be able to talk and record at the same time. The older version, as I said, simple, add display capture and MY audio input mike and that was it, but the current version.....I DON'T HAVE A CLUE HEEEEEELP???? Include a log file? A log file OF WHAT AND WHERE IS IT LOCATED?, not that it would help YOU or ME.....

No reference to what old version you were using, not which new version you are using. And adding Display Capture hasn't materially changed in last 6 years, that I'm aware .. shrug

Display's historically don't have audio... much more recent HDMI can... but audio source is typically separate from video card output. and if you knew your way around computers, you'd know that. Often folks want either a specific application (which Windows audio subsystem is really bad at separating .. OS code issue) or Desktop Audio (but you have to be careful is using speakers and mic, as you will most likely get an echo from the audio loop you create in the process)

So, I recommend starting with the Getting started guide on this site.
I am NOT a fan of video tutorials, typically. I found the PTZ Optics/streamgeeks OBS Studio Super User guide book (free PDF) to be a good resource... granted not updated with latest version updates, but more than good enough for the basics.

The pinned posts on this forum are there for a reason:

The functionality on latest version is similar to previous version. Unless a Windows or GPU driver or sound driver update break things.
