Preview window black before playing recorded video.

Have several different videos I want to use. Would be easier to know if I have selected the right one if there was a preview of the start of the video showing in the preview window. As of now its all black until I start broadcasting - then the video plays in the program window. Is there a way of having a preview or to attach a picture or text to the preview window to help me knowing whats going to be played?

It´s black in the preview window even if the file in question has an image in finder. Would it be possible to show that picture in the preview window my problem would be solved. Any one? When there is a picture type jpeg the picture shows in the preview window. I would like it to be the same with a movie file
