Question / Help Preview stuttering even if not recording.

Hi,

I have a problem wich drives me crazy as it worked correctly before.
Maybe some last Windows 10 patches fucked up OBS ?

When I use OBS, even if no recording or streaming, the preview is stuttering. HOW ?!
While recording, the output video is also stuttering, but not that much than on the preview. Sometimes, the output video is not stuttering, but the preview is. It's insane.

If you looks at the log file, I really have a small amount of lagged frames, nothing that can explain why everything is stuttering. I'm using NVENC to record.

It happens more on heaviest games like ACO, but as I'm using NVENC and as I have stutters even while not recoding and maybe 30% on CPU not used, I don't understand why.

Any idea ?

Thanks !

I'm playing at 60, recording also at 60. I have two 60hz monitors.
The game is running on the first and I look at the preview on the second monitor.

Maybe your game produces more than 90% GPU load, so OBS will struggle to render the scene fast enough.
Set an fps limit in your game to get GPU load below 90% and see, if it helps.

Also you need 60fps in OBS, to see smooth preview. From what I can see in the log file and your postings, you run 60Hz on the Monitor, but 50fps in OBS, so of course the preview will look a little laggy.
Another thing that I see is 3 b-frames in your NVENC setting. If i remember correctly, 2 b-frames is default.
