To clarify, you can preview what would be output to your stream or recording by checking the preview (visible in the main application window by default) at any time. You can also use Audio Monitoring (added in OBS Studio 18.0.0) to hear the audio as it would be output to your stream or recording. Twitch and YouTube both have features where you can test streams (for Twitch, use their
bandwidth test feature; for YouTube,
Stream now can be set to private to test, or you can use
live events with the Live Control Room, which is pretty cool - more info
here).
Currently, there is just not a built-in method in OBS Studio to simulate your outgoing stream bandwidth/health without using one of the test methods I mentioned above, which is what I think
@Frost_Bytes was looking for. The ability to simulate stream bandwidth/health isn't really relevant for local recording, so the available preview features should work for what you need. Please note that OBS Classic is completely unsupported at this time, so if you have any issues with it at all, you aren't likely to receive support on these forums or in the support chat.
@hyperbolics
May I ask, what exactly was your issue that OBS Studio did not resolve?
