I have been recording educational videos for distance learning during Covid-19. My setup has worked and I've created a lot of successful videos.
Today, after using my laptop to record from (also successfully, albeit after diagnosing the "black screen" issue as is pinned at the top of this forum), I switched back to my desktop, set up everything and recorded a video. The preview shows in the OBS window as it should. The resulting video, however, contained audio but was just black. The video was also smaller than I'd normally expect.
The "black screen" issue doesn't seem to apply here because I'm not on a laptop, there is only one video card that can be chosen. The settings haven't changed (to my knowledge - I might have fat-fingered something??). No other major software changes, updates etc. since I last recorded.
Any ideas?
