Presenting a Pre-Recorded Video to Both In-Person Audience & Stream Audience At The Same Time.

Hey I've been using OBS for a while and have been struggling with this particular issue. I stream live events and conferences. Sometimes there are pre-recorded videos that the client wants both the live audience and stream audience to see at the same time. I'm able to present the pre-recorded video to the stream audience and have someone else play the pre-recorded video onto the projector. It's not the best way because of delays. Not to mention the audio will provide feedback when I try doing this at the same time. For a while, we angled the camera at the projector and used the speakers audio in the room. That's not the best way to do things. My biggest concern is audio feedback. What should I do?

* ATEM Mini
* OBS
* 2 AIDA PTZ Cameras
* Shotgun mic or wireless mic.

You could use projector mode in OBS to route/display the pre-recorded video to a projector
And I (with my limited OBS knowledge) would have have in its own OBS scene with No Mic input (so I couldn't make a mistake.. again.. ).. ie, the only audio source in the OBS scene would be the pre-recorded video. Then I use plugin Advanced Scene Switcher to change scene when the video ends

Different ways to do this. A couple of ideas: presenter is playing video from a computer into projector via HDMI? Get an HDMI splitter and run to projector and to your ATEM Mini or other capture device simultaneously. Or have presenter output to ATEM directly then route ATEM Monitor output to projector, using ATEM control software to select which input to display to audience. This way you could also have cameras display on projectors if desired (close ups of presenters etc). Another option is using NDI for screen capture from presenter’s computer and share to OBS over LAN, avoiding multiple long HDMI cable runs (this is how I prefer to do it). Mute any live mics when video is played back.
