Preparing a scene without it going live.

This may have been suggested before, but i have yet to find it.

It would be a pretty good addition to the overall functionality of the program to have the ability to create a scene and fill it with layers before it goes out live.
So say if one wanted to be able to make sure that their production has a higher quality then they would be able to make new scenes to adapt to what they need without making the stream seem unprofessional.

Any discussion on this topic would be fantastic.

As you´ve said, has been requested a lot and will be possible sometime in the upcomming rewrite.

Yes. The only way to currently do this that I know of is to use both Xsplit and OBS. Use Xsplit as an ouput for video, input it into OBS. Make a scene for "hold on one second" or whatever, and have your other scene be the input of Xsplit. Then just switch scenes once your Xsplit scene is properly configured.

Rewrite will basically always be "on" by default, if that makes sense. Video/audio/etc is always active from the moment the program starts up until it shuts down.
