Question / Help Premiere Pro Playback Issues w/ OBS Footage

So I've recently decided to switch over to OBS permanently and I love all the included features as it has more than any other program out there, but I'm currently having a problem where every time I import my footage in premiere its almost impossible to edit it because the playback lag and program lag is so severe. I've never had this issue with either Dxtory or Action and dxtory puts out some massive files so I don't think its drive speed as I run everything on SSD's. I also have a 5820k and 980ti GPU.

Now before making this thread I've been searching for a couple days and I've found a few REALLY old ones on this issue, but it never really seems to have a solution. I'm wondering if maybe there is some setting I'm using that kills playback. At first I thought it was b-frames, but its only at 4 (which is the max I can put it to).

Anyways I have no idea and I've exhausted my options as I've tried changing almost every setting. The only thing that really seemed to help is changing it from I420 to NY12, but after researching they are both 4:2:0 so idk. I could be and probably am incorrect. My only issue with this is I've recorded at 4:2:0 and even 4:4:4 with dxtory with no issues.

Your OBS log does not show recording attempts.

Also, have you checked your recordings with VLC?

I did last log file. I've recorded hundreds of clips with OBS. Am I uploading the wrong thing?

Loading all of my audio clips into VLC does start lagging/freezing after a while just like premieres playback

Won't have any suggestions until you get us a log from a session that actually had a recording attempt.

I use OBS and Prem Pro to edit without any issues, output files are either raw .mp4 or mkv to mp4 before import into PP.

Open OBS
Make a recording
Close OBS
Open OBS again
Upload last log

I've done hundreds of recordings on OBS. All my videos from the past two months are with OBS. Those are the log files I'm getting. Is there a setting that I might have disabled that doesn't show recording attempts or something?

Each time you close and open obs, a new log file is generated, the last two times you did so, you did not attempt a recording.

Provide the log.

Without the log its the best response :-).
Listen beardedbob your cluttering up my conversation with Harold and if you don't have any feedback then why are you responding? Every post I've uploaded logs. Just not the correct way. Please if you don't have anything to input that furthers this conversation in a productive manner then please stop.

I could have just said upload the correct log with the correct detail to show the output. What version of PP are you running as you haven't said? whats your current drive config. does it also lag in other players or just VLC?

Have you tired the output in CBR or VBR instead of CQP?

I'm using NY12 fyi, looking at the log nothing is showing as incorrect within OBS though Harold could spot something.
