Post live TAPO camera to YouTube / Facebook etc

Hi All

I have a TAPO camera which is working and is live. I am looking to be able to Live stream this so people can view the live stream live on Facebook or youtube

However, after looking into this it is proving tricky to sort. I can show a video recording on OSB which is saved but struggling to get a live stream open from the camera. .

The TAPO camera is streaming live through VLC media player

If all you want to do is stream that one camera directly to FB or YT, then the camera itself might be able to do that, without OBS, or even a computer in between at all. Read up on the camera's capabilities, to see if that might be an option. If it seems to say yes, but you can't make it work, use their support.

If you really do want it in OBS, and it works in VLC, then the easiest transition is probably to copy the URL from VLC itself, into a VLC source in OBS. Then you can work with it like any other source in OBS.
