Bug Report Possible Bug. Window capture with LOL

So i have been messing around with OBS for a little while right now. I have been using it to stream LOL games. My desktop is pretty cluttered and so i decided to use the window capture feature.

So my setup is that for my base window i use a pic for a desktop pic. Then i on top of that i throw the LOL PVP client on top of that in window capture. This works fine as long as i don't open anything on top of the LOL client. If i put a window or program over the lol client that window is also visible to the stream. Personally this is not a desired effect and i dont see how it could be a intentional feature.

That's pretty much standard windows behavior (if aero is disabled) when capturing a window. Use game capture for LoL client (the game not the lobby), also check plugins section, there's a plugin that can automatically change scenes (quite useful for LoL)

Are you saying i need to enable areo again?

Also i will look into the plugins. Thx for the advice there

Edit

I have played with the Video setting for aero, on off it doesn't seem to correct this. The PVP.net client (match maker, store, ect) is acting like a desktop/board to transmit things on top of it. This still doesn't seem like intended behavior to me.

I have the same problem as you with the LoL PVP Client.. everything gets "on top" of it for some reason, i didnt have this problem before... (I format my PC yesterday then i downloaded OBS again and then i saw that everything got on top of the lol client.. its really disturbing..) Ive tried the same things as you and it still dont work ...

enablling aero with window capture will prevent stuff from appearing over the window while capturing. note that you need to be using the aero theme in windows as well unfortunately. this is unfortunately the way that windows itself works with that capture method, it's not something on the end of OBS here that causes that. otherwise, game capture would be the next best bet.

khaosrei : If u right click on the mouse on your desktop, and then click the "personalize" button that comes up, u will see some different icons coming up, in the middle of the screen there is a text that says "Aero themes" , use one of them and then it will work! :)
