Question / Help Popping noise in microphone audio stream using sync fix hack

Is this only happening because it's a "hack?"

There's a weird clicking/popping noise happening constantly in my microphone audio when I use this option. It's currently the only way I can fix the synchronization, so thank you very much for this option, but it is rather annoying to the viewers with headphones.
