Question / Help Poor Stream Quality! (Details inside)

I have been streaming on and off for a couple of years now. I only have a small viewer base of friends because of my poor stream quality.

My PC/OBS/Internet Specs:

• i7 4790k (OC'd to 4.5GHz)
• GTX 760
• 60MBps/4MBps Speed Resultstest
• 1920x1080x Resolution(Have tried all the way down to 480)
• 2200 Bitrate (have tried 1300-3500)
• 30fps
• Also streaming to the closest location to me (US: Ashburn, VA)

Other info: The computer uses about 30%-50% CPU low temps while streaming. The games run at max fps on my screen, usually 90-180 depending on the game. I have no lag or distortion at all on my end. Also, I recorded at the same time I was streaming and the recording was absolutely perfect with no distortion.

Watch around the 20-35 second area to really see the problem. In WoW it is bearable to watch, but if I play a FPS it is impossible to watch.

I thought maybe it was because the bandwidth may be limited for streamers with low views, so I went to the botton of the WoW players streaming list, and even people playing with 0 views had crystal clear quality.

Looks about right for your settings. Stop trying to stream high motion games at 1080p. Downscale to 720p, enable vsync or cap your FPS at something reasonable, use a more demanding preset if your CPU can handle it.

I'll try caping the FPS. But like I said it still looks just as bad when I stream at 720p. And when playing a FPS like CS:GO, the screen just freezes and jumps around.
