Using a Razer Kraken 7.1 Surround Sound USB headset. However recorded sound comes out like very old headphones when played back. Using my regular plastic cheap audio jack headset gives me poor sound quality, but excellent recorded sound as if I'm in a theater. What gives?
Specs:
cpu: i7-5960x
gpu: gtx titan x
ram: 32gb ddr4 3000Mhz
psu: 1200w
Motherboard: asus x99 deluxe
soundcard: integrated CrystalSound 2.0 or whatever the stupid headphones actually use.
Realtek hd audio IS NOT INSTALLED. Just note that, cause its popular and all. but it conflicted with my video games.
Razer Surround is also not installed, because it causes major issues with GTAV. Of course however I've tried before uninstalling it and it gave me the same results as above.
OBS:
Encoding is x264
cbr is unchecked.
Quality balance is 10
Max bitrate is 99999kb/s. Buffer size is 99999kb/s too.
Audio is AAC at 48kHz with a bitrate of 320 and channeled to Stereo.
Video settings is set to 1920x1080 on my 4k60hz monitor. 60fps
audio tab has desktop audio device and microphone audio device set to default
Advanced tab, checked in use multithreaded optimization. Process priority class high, scene buffering time 700 miliseconds.
x264 cpu preset set to ultrafast, encoding profile main. keyframe interval 2 seconds, checked in use CFR.
TL:DR, obs records usb headphone sounds like crap for some reason and i don't understand why.
