Question / Help Poor quality, what is the cause?

Hello there.

So I tried livestreaming CS:GO for the first time today and I noticed the quality being VERY poor after watching the replay.
I simply wonder Why. :P

Replay: http://www.twitch.tv/bondtv/b/522908605
(through the whole thing)

Something to be mentioned before saying anything about it(late frames etc); I did try out livestreaming to a US server instead of EU, since my viewers usually complains about lag on EU servers. Could this be a cause of the poor quality?

Log from the test stream: http://pastebin.com/ks82qu0G
My upspeed is more than needed for livestreaming, so that's not a problem. :) Would it be worth going all out on bitrate to 3500? I really doubt so. The quality suffering feels like there's something else causing it.

What part of the recording is poor, exactly? From what I see, it is as it should be considering:
a) you're downscaling from 1080p to 720 (image gets somewhat blurry and smaller elements lose sharpness)
b) you're streaming at 60 fps with 3.3k bitrate thus there is pixellation when you quickly turn or when there is a lot of action.

60fps requires a pretty decent bitrate to relay the image unartifacted.

Your stream looks good for the settings.

It really don't.

http://www.twitch.tv/bondtv/c/2881355 Old highlight, that's 3250 in bitrate(if I remember correctly), 720p(downscaled from 1080p) @ 60fps and that doesn't look THAT pixilated as the current one does.

Anyway, is it worth going for 3500 in bitrate then? Or should I go even lower? Seems like people has problems watching streams on EU servers when exceeden 2500 in bitrate. Does it matter in that case if I stream to a US server?

If you say so, but you also compare two different games with a completely different amount of onscreen action to them.

Is it worth going for a higher bitrate? Depends on your view, it will require viewers to have faster connection to twitch, but also might improve quality in certain areas somewhat. Will pixellation go away at 60fps after increasing bitrate by 250? No.

It's not really much action in CSGO either to be fair. :P But alright, 3000 bitrate, good enough or should I go even lower?

if you're looking for quality, you need to go higher, not lower. I don't think I can choose for you what's better - higher bitrate, or broader range of people who can watch it without much buffering :)
