I recently bought a new computer and decided to try some recording on it. Now I know this isn't an OBS exclusive issue because I initially tried out Nvida Shadowplay. However there weren't a lot of options with it and I noticed the audio in the recordings seemed washed out and poor, so I moved to OBS thinking it would help with the audio quality since I had used it in the past and it worked fine. But this didn't fix the issue. Things sounded just as bad in the recordings. Washed out, no bass, almost mono. Totally different than what I had heard coming from my speakers at the time of the recording.
I have tried playing with the sound settings,updated drivers etc. but no luck. I was hoping for some insight into how to pinpoint and fix the problem. Also hoping this isn't a hardware issue.

Update: I just discovered when I plug in headphones (any old pair, nothing special) the sound quality of my recordings is fine.
