Question / Help Plugin Help Needed: Recording Notifier

I'm new to OBS and this is probably an easy fix. I need to know what to do with source code that comes with the download. Can I get a helping hand?

If you are just looking to use OBS as to record or stream audio/video then use the installer https://obsproject.com.
there are currently two flavors of OBS. OBS1 and OBS Multiplatform. with windows, there is an early build of OBS MP to use that is decent, but not as many addons avail yet and still unpolished.

personally just download OBS .651 which is the stable release at the moment.
 
Thanks. I have .651 up and running. I'd like to add the notifier so I am aware of when I start and stop recording. Just trying to figure out what to do with the source files.
