Question / Help Pls Help since the update to MAc os 10.14.06 OBS 23.2.1 dont work anymore

Hello and greetings from Germany,

i have a big problem. We use since a few months OBS for livestreaming on our Company You Tube Channel.
We use the elgato Cam Link 4 k with an sony Alpha RII and my Macbook pro from 2017.
Everything worked just fine until the MAc OS security Update 2- or 3 weeks Ago. Since then it ist imposiible to broadcast with obs anymore.
The Bitrate is jumping up and down an dropping completely. Even the view of the Cam ist totaly lagginbg in obs ( in the preview)
Before the update we were easily streaming in 4 k now we can not anymore.

Has anyone an Idea ?

Hello, I have been having the same issue. I broadcast on a website "chaturbate" and every time I broadcast the bitrate goes in such a crazy way. I thought it was my internet, then I thought it was the server, and then I began to think it was because MacBooks do not have a graphic card, I mean, I broadcast with Encoder x264, the one everyone recommend, but in few places I find that the best one is (softwarex264). It is annoying, because with this encoder (software x264) my laptop gets really warm.
And then I tried to change to x264 and another server and it was working properly, but now is a mess...
I do not really know what to do, I think I would have to get a Gamer one, with a good graphic card and not the software encoder.
