Hi there,

To give a bit of context to my issue I have an Elgato HD60s capture card that is linked up to my PS4. Until recently I had been using Elgato's software but I wasn't entirely happy with the audio. It was a very rare problem but every now and again the audio would completely distort (We are talking like once every couple of hours). I decided to switch to OBS and using a YouTube video I set settings as advised by this particular guy who seems to be well up with OBS and how it works. I am not the most tech savvy guy (bit of an understatement, I am absolutely useless) but I believe my laptop to me more than capable of recording good 1080p quality content. When recording in OBS my picture quality is great, from what I can tell it's also in sync with the audio. The problem is the audio. It is massively distorted. My initial diagnosis was that maybe it was desktop noise or interference etc. However this is where I'm at a loss is the inconsistency. Now I'd say 75% of the things I record are inaudible and completely distorted (just the mic, the gameplay in the background seems to be unaffected) however the other 25% of the time my audio is perfectly fine... I know, massively confusing right? Following the forum post on here I've got a log which can be found here:

Honestly guys any help would be amazing. I'm happy to upload some videos of the distorted audio to YouTube as an unlisted video if that will help anyone. I'm a YouTuber and I've had to stop uploading content which absolutely sucks. I've only just started doing all this stuff and I don't want to have to quit over something like this.
